The weather cooperated again on sunday, though that seems to be a rare thing for this month.  I’ve had more session postponed because of rain!  But fortunately, sunday sun was predicted, and it actually appeared!  I had 3 sessions with some wonderful kids and families.  It was such a fun morning!

First, I got to meet the H family.  I had a great time talking with Miss S and learning about all her favorite things.

And her baby brother kept us on our toes!  He’s quite a walker for such a young guy!

Next, I had the last 2 mini sessions from the fundraiser for our nursery school.  I got to meet twins D and L and their parents.  We had such a good time!  These 2 were all giggles!

Lastly, I got to meet sisters R and P.  Another set of gigglers.  I just loved R’s eyelashes!

Baby sister P is just shy of 2, and adorable!

I have a very exciting opportunity for parents of newborns. A nationally published crochet designer (who also happens to be a friend of my mother) is designing several newborn hats for me to use in my photography!

Because of this, I need a couple of newborns to model them. The pictures will be published, without identifying information, on the patterns for the hats, so the parents will need to sign a model release, allowing the images to be used both by me and by the designer.  In exchange for signing this release, I will waive the session fee, plus, you will receive a free set of 5×7 flat Birth Announcements (a $75 value).

At this time, I do not have any hats in need of modeling.  I should be getting more in the future, so if you’re interested, please contact me.  Newborn sessions must take place within the first 10 days after the baby’s birth.

Overdue sneak peek

This past weekend, I did a bunch of mini sessions as a fundraiser for my kids’ nursery school.  Well, I was supposed to do a bunch, but weather and illness had other plans, so I did half of a bunch.  The other half have been rescheduled.  (Though the weather this weekend has other plans too.  Enough with the rain!)

I usually try to get sneak peeks up within a day or 2 of the sessions, but it doesn’t always happen.  Like this time.  Better late than never, right?

Here’s J and his family.  He’s a sweet little bundle of energy!  We even went “fishing” in the lake with a piece of grass, though we didn’t catch anything.

Sunday, I got to meet Miss S and her family, including her little brother, O.  We had a good time together, though I think S thought I was crazy!

Her little brother is quite the ham!  He kept cracking me up with his funny faces.  I’m pretty sure he was only putting up with me for the candy I had.

What a beautiful family!

Unfortunately, I’ve only had time to get one image from this family edited.  I promise a few more soon though.  These guys were full of personality!

This afternoon I got to meet baby L (yes, it’s been a very busy weekend).  Mom and Dad are friends of ours, and we’ve seen little L here and there, but never really got to spend any amount of time with him.  He’s 3 months old now, and so full of smiles!  But not at all tired.  Despite all the yawning, he was not about to give in and go to sleep.  Too much to see for any of that!

He recently discovered his fingers and how yummy they are!

This morning, I met up with J and K, twins who recently turned 2.  I’ve known these guys for a few weeks – they’re in Daniel’s nursery school class, but I’ve never really gotten to spend any time with them at school.  What cuties!  Full of energy, and the sweetest eyes!

Here’s J, who loves trucks, and gathered quite a collection of leaves, pine cones and rocks as we walked around.

And this is K.  Just love these eyes!  Daniel’s quite smitten with her, and always talks about her when we ask him about school.

When you’ve got a twin, there’s always someone to share a joke with.

And it’s always nice to take off your shoes and feel the breeze in your toes.

And here’s Mr J.  So sweet.  This was a serious moment from him, but he did share plenty of smiles too!
