Busy, busy, busy

My poor neglected blog… ;)

It’s been a busy week.  My kids, other people’s kids, appointments, school and all that.  Not sure where all the time goes.

Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to take pictures of my friend Sandie’s beautiful, beautiful children.  The weather was perfect, if a little chilly.

Then, Sunday, we dragged our boys out to try to get some decent shots of the two of them.  And believe it or not (I still don’t really believe it!) it worked!  Despite teething babies, surly 4 year olds and everything else, I managed to get both my kids smiling in one picture.  The stars may never align like that again.

Lastly, Halloween is almost upon us.  I’ve decided to extend the deadline on the halloween contest until November 2, so you still have time to submit a picture!

Enjoy the trick-or-treating!  I’ve got to get those pumpkins carved soon…

(and their mom and dad too :) )

Just a few, because I am dog tired, it was a long week, followed by a very busy weekend.

I got tagged!

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Well, it looks like I’ve been tagged. I got tagged by Hope Brown - you should definitely visit her site!

Here are the rules:

1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 7 random things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post.
4. Pass on the tag

Here are 7 random things about me:
1. I know way too much about car seats.
2. I cannot stand swiss cheese.
3. I am a HUGE muppet fan.
4. Our printer is out of ink, and I’m too lazy to go find the new one.
5. I grew up in NC, went to high school in PA, college in NY, and never went further west than Alabama until I was in grad school.
6. I hate going to the beach.
7. My cat thinks I’m her own personal sofa right now.

Now, let’s see…  I tag… WifeandMommy, Amy, Michelle, Phenway and that’s all I can think of.  :)

Light the Night

Monday, October 6th, 2008

In 2002, my father died of complictions from Myeloma.  In his memory, we walk each year in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night walk.  This year was our 4th.

The weather was perfect for pictures.

My dad would have been over the moon for those 2 little guys.
